WWE often shuffles up its commentary team across its brands. Robert Stone has made a big decision about his future in commentary.
The 42-year-old personality has been slowly climbing the corporate ladder in WWE. He recently assumed the role of the new interim General Manager of NXT after Ava parted ways with the Stamford-based promotion.
Thanks for the submission!
Last week, Shawn Michaels promoted Robert Stone to the new role. He previously served as Ava’s assistant on the brand. In addition, Robert Stone has also been a part of the commentary team on WWE Evolve alongside Peter Rosenberg since the Wednesday Night show’s inception.
He has a lot on his plate, which is why he has decided to step down from one of his roles. Earlier today, Robert Stone took to his X/Twitter handle to announce that he will be stepping away from Evolve after tonight’s episode. He intends to fully shift his focus to being the interim General Manager of NXT.
“After the chaos that went down last night on NXT, it’s clear I need to put my full focus on my role as Interim NXT General Manager. With that said, tonight will sadly be my final night analyzing the action on #WWEEvolve What an incredible 1st year for the show. Make sure you continue watching the next generation of talent be born every week on @Tubi Trust me… I’ll be watching too.”

In another post, Robert Stone revealed that Blake Howard will be calling the action alongside Peter Rosenberg going forward.
Robert Stone had a busy night on NXT this past Tuesday. He is obviously going to need a new assistant to keep things running smoothly for the brand.
Shayna Baszler, who was let go last year, has pitched returning as an enforcer. Will Shawn Michaels bring her back? Only time will tell.
