4 Matches that could possibly be added to WrestleMania 42 following WWE RAW

WrestleMania 42 is just a few weeks away and WWE has been doing its best to deliver a power-packed show this year. The company has announced a stacked lineup of six matches for the event so far. The Stamford-based promotion still needs several matches to fill the card and some big bouts that are worthy of being featured on The Showcase of The Immortals.

While all the world title matches have been decided, Triple H managed to tease several big showdowns for WrestleMania last night on RAW. Many superstars were in the spotlight who are yet to be booked for the annual spectacle. Moreover, the mid-card title scene is also looking to regain prominence ahead of Mania. Therefore, WWE has plenty of options to book for the big show.

Let’s take a look at four matches that could be added to WrestleMania 42 following WWE RAW:

#4. IYO SKY vs. Asuka

WWE has been building towards a singles showdown between IYO SKY and Asuka for the past year. Following The Kabuki Warrior’s defeat on RAW last night, The Genius of the Sky confronted Kairi Sane and tried to sympathize with her, telling her that she deserved better. Before Sane could have said anything, Asuka called her back, leaving IYO pitying at Kairi’s current condition.

This sets up the stage for a serious confrontation between IYO SKY and Asuka in the coming weeks. Besides, The Genius of The Sky has made it clear that she cares for her former friend Kairi Sane. Therefore, she might fight The Empress of Tomorrow for her friend’s freedom. SKY and Asuka are two of the most gifted women’s wrestlers and can have a stellar showdown at WrestleMania 42.

#3. The Usos vs. The Vision

The Usos defended their World Tag Team Championships against The Vision on WWE RAW last night. However, the champions were disqualified during the match, creating an opportunity for a rematch between the two teams down the line. While they will once again collide in a street fight next week for the World Tag Team Titles, Triple H is likely to avoid a clear winner for that showdown.

It could create a possibility for the third match between The Vision and The Usos at WrestleMania 42. WWE can add a significant stipulation in the match, like Ladder and Tables, to make it more interesting. All four stars that are Logan Paul, Austin Theory, Jimmy & Jey Uso are incredibly talented. Therefore, they have the potential to deliver a great tag team match in Las Vegas.

#2. Bayley & Lyra Valkyria in a multi-team match

Bayley and Lyra Valkyria achieved a big win over The Kabuki Warriors on Monday Night RAW this week. The duo stated that they are eyeing the Women’s Tag Team Championship on the road to WrestleMania. Hence, Lyra and Bayley will collide with Nia Jax and Lash Legend for the titles next week on RAW. This match could end up in a no-contest due to a potential brawl.

Currently, various tag teams like Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair and The Bella Twins are after the Women’s Tag Team Championships. Therefore, WWE is expected to book a multi-team tag team match for the titles at WrestleMania 42. If that is the real plan, Bayley and Lyra Valkyria could also be involved in the mix due to their immense popularity and momentum on WWE RAW.

#1. Finn Balor vs. Dominik Mysterio at WrestleMania 42

Dominik Mysterio ousted Finn Balor from The Judgment Day a few weeks ago on RAW. However, this week, The Prince was back with full force, and he went on to attack Mysterio and JD McDonagh. With that all-out assault, Balor has waged a war against his former friend. This could lead to a blockbuster match between the two stars at WrestleMania 42.

The WWE Universe has been waiting for a singles showdown between Balor and Mysterio for a long time and The Show of Shows serves as the perfect stage for it. Not only that, but there are rumors that WWE is planning the return of Balor’s alter-ego, which makes it another big reason why Triple H would definitely book this showdown for this year’s WrestleMania.
