Brock Lesnar returned to WWE a few months ago and is headed towards WrestleMania 42 in Nevada. Meanwhile, a former star thinks The Beast Incarnate must face 4-time champion at the event in Las Vegas.
In 2023, Brock Lesnar crossed paths with Gunther for the first time in the Men’s Royal Rumble match. The two behemoths never had a one-on-one match in the Stamford-based promotion, as The Beast Incarnate was absent from the company for two years.
Thanks for the submission!
Speaking on Story Time with Dutch Mantell, the former WWE personality stated that the company must book a one-on-one match between The Beast and The Career Killer at The Showcase of the Immortals in Nevada. The former manager thinks it would be easy for the company to set up a storyline between the two heading into WrestleMania 42.
“I would think that Gunther and Brock Lesnar would be a great match… Well, I would go back to that. All they have to do is have Brock come out and say something about [Gunther] him,” Mantell said.
Gunther is a former NXT United Kingdom, WWE Intercontinental, and two-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
Will Gunther face Brock Lesnar at WWE WrestleMania 42?
Earlier this year, Gunther officially became the ‘Career Killer’ when he defeated AJ Styles and forced him to retire from in-ring competition in the Stamford-based promotion. Meanwhile, Brock Lesnar returned to the company and hasn’t lost a traditional match.
A while back, rumors suggested that a match with Oba Femi isn’t likely for The Beast Incarnate at WrestleMania. Later, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that Lesnar vs. LA Knight was internally listed as a match for WrestleMania 42.
Recently, Gunther lost the opportunity to enter the Elimination Chamber match when Je’Von Evans pinned Dominik Mysterio to win the qualifier match. There’s a chance the company finally books a one-on-one match between the two heavyweights at The Grandest Stage of Them All in Nevada.
