WWE is headed towards WrestleMania 42 in Nevada come April 2026, and one second-generation star is training for a potential career in wrestling. The star in question is Aliah Mysterio.
In 2020, Aliyah Mysterio appeared on-screen alongside Rey and Dominik during a feud between The Master of 619 and Seth Rollins. Aliyah was on the weekly product for nearly a year under the old regime and even made a few appearances when the veteran feuded with his real-life son heading into WrestleMania 39.
Thanks for the submission!
Speaking on What Do You Wanna Talk About? with Cody Rhodes, Rey Mysterio provided an update on Aliyah Mysterio’s future as a potential in-ring performer. Mysterio claimed that Aliyah has showcased promise and consistently stayed on track, training to become a potential wrestler in the industry.
“So, I’m actually trying to get her out there pretty soon. So, she’ll feel like it’s like training every day: wake up, work out all day, sleep, and the same thing. It’s insane. I have thought about that, and it scares me, but it also excites me,” Mysterio said.
The WWE Hall of Famer confirmed his daughter’s interest in the industry but didn’t guarantee a debut, as Aliyah is still in her early days, training to become a wrestler.
WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio is currently injured
Last year, Rey Mysterio was in a feud with El Grande Americano heading into WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas. Unfortunately, he got injured a day before the event and was unable to compete. The injury hiatus lasted a few months before he returned to the red brand in November.
He was recently seen on Monday Night RAW and often locked horns with The Vision. On the recent edition of WWE RAW, Michael Cole announced that the two-time World Heavyweight Champion is injured. Cole claimed the injury occurred somewhere in the Men’s Royal Rumble match.
