German Bundesliga side RB Leipzig are looking to set the night alight when they debut a new glow-in-the-dark fourth kit this weekend.
RB Leipzig launched the new jersey, made by PUMA, last week and will wear them for the first time when they host Borussia Dortmund on Saturday, February 21.
The base of the kit is a very dark blue that borders on black, with a royal blue pattern all over that is “based on a stylised map of Leipzig’s districts,” according to the club. “Distinctive structures, street layouts and architectural features come together to form a dynamic, urban landscape, without explicitly highlighting any individual district. The result is a design that captures Leipzig’s pulsating energy and brings it to the pitch.”

The glow-in-the-dark elements — including the club crest, sponsor logos and PUMA logos, as well as the names, numbers and club motto on the back — appear light blue under normal lighting conditions, but can “be charged under UV light in order to then glow in the dark.”

Before RB Leipzig plays Borussia Dortmund, the kit will go on sale through the team’s physical and online team stores, as well as PUMA’s website, starting at 10:00 a.m. CET on Friday, February 20.
