Vikings LB Jonathan Greenard does not mince phrases at followers for spreading on-line hate after Rondale Moore’s demise

The death of Rondale Moore sent shockwaves through the NFL community on Saturday. While tributes poured in from former teammates and coaches, the uglier side of social media reared its head. Two NFL players have seen enough.

Las Vegas Raiders safety Jamal Adams addressed how the league and its fans treat injured players on X on Sunday. He called out the “injury-prone” label that gets slapped on athletes without any acknowledgment of what they endure privately.

Minnesota Vikings linebacker Jonathan Greenard reposted Adams tweet, adding his pointed message directed at fans who use tragedy as content.

“Ppl legit will say the most craziest things tryna be funny on this app,” Greenard tweeted. “Then turn around wondering why the players mentals are COOKED. Players see ALL the tweets just like yall do bc WE ARE HUMAN JUST LIKE YALL.

Former NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel also posted a tribute for Rondale Moore on Instagram on Saturday, urging people to reach out to those around them.

“This is a sobering reminder of just how fragile and precious life is,” Manziel wrote. “To every single person out there struggling and on the door step of giving up PLEASE find any way to believe that life is worth it.

“Check on your friends and your people in this world because you truly never know what somebody is going thru. One text, one call can be the difference. Praying for Rondale Moore and his family. We lost a great human and athlete way way too soon.”

Moore’s NFL career was marked by repeated injury setbacks. He tore his knee during the Vikings’ 2025 preseason opener and was placed on injured reserve before the season started. A knee injury wiped out his entire 2024 campaign with the Atlanta Falcons.
