Popular WWE backstage interviewer Cathy Kelley is reportedly set for a new role within the Stamford-based promotion. The report came to light after she was caught in the crossfire earlier this week on Monday Night RAW.
On the April 13 edition of the red brand’s show, the 37-year-old was interviewing Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer. However, La Primera’s WrestleMania 42 opponent, Liv Morgan, showed up to attack Vaquer from behind. Unfortunately, Kelley also took a blow and had to be helped to the back after the end of the segment.

In the most recent edition of Fightful Select Answers, Sean Ross Sapp reported that Cathy Kelley trained at the Performance Center. However, it was not for an in-ring run. SRS added that her training was geared toward an expanded on-screen role in the company.
There had previously been rumors about Cathy Kelley training for a potential managerial role. The unexpected bump she took on WWE RAW could be an indication that Triple H and the creative team are planning to head in that direction.
Cathy Kelley revealed a frightening real-life experience
Cathy Kelley recently made an appearance on the ZELVX and CHARLIE GIRL YouTube channel, where she had discussions with Zelina Vega and Charlie (fka Dakota Kai in WWE) on several topics.
The backstage interviewer spoke about a horrific experience she had while driving to Milan from another Italian city. She detailed how she almost got carjacked.
“I was almost carjacked in Italy. So, I tried to do a lot of solo experiences… we were actually driving into Milan from another city that we had stopped at,” she said. “As we were pulling into the city, we saw this one guy—he had like a Rolex or something—get it stolen right off the street. Then we’re driving a little further, and something else like that caught our attention. Then we’re on the edge of the city, and these two guys on Vespas come up on either side. We realized he was saying ‘flat tire,’ but our tire pressure was fine, so we kept driving. I think that’s when the other person popped the tire in the back and sped off—but we didn’t clock it because he’s distracting us. He’s like, ‘Pull over, pull over.’… ‘No, no, no—down further, too much traffic. I’ll help you change it.’ But it was a much quieter area, not a busy street—and that’s when my instincts started going off.
