The first major title change happened at WrestleMania 42, and it was an incredible moment as a WWE star who returned after eight years away became a Champion again, mirroring a huge moment twelve years ago.
That name is none other than Paige, who you have likely known as Saraya in the last eight years. It’s hard to believe that it has been that long since she left WWE, but she managed to overcome her medical issues, get cleared, and compete in AEW, where she proved that she belonged. While she never became the AEW Women’s World Champion, she still had a very fruitful tenure with the company, and she is now back in the place where many people will call her home. Twelve years ago, on the RAW after WrestleMania 30, Paige made her huge main roster WWE debut, confronting AJ Lee and winning the Divas Championship on her first night.

Nikki Bella successfully threw everyone off by mentioning on the Hall of Fame red carpet that she would be competing at WrestleMania 42. When she actually came out, she was on crutches and said that she did everything she could to be medically cleared, but it unfortunately didn’t happen. So as a result, she didn’t want to take away from her sister’s moment, and that’s what led to the return of Paige.
There had been rampant speculation that Paige was in Las Vegas and was making her big return, although some responses were to say that she would have been in Vegas anyway. Regardless, she is now back in WWE and is a Champion again!
