Kagiso Rabada rattles Suryakumar Yadav’s stumps with 150kmph supply instantly after being smashed for six, 4 in GT vs MI IPL 2026 match [Watch]

Gujarat Titans (GT) ace pacer Kagiso Rabada took the prized scalp of Suryakumar Yadav in the IPL 2026 match against Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Monday, April 20. The speedster knocked over off and middle stump to dismiss the right-hander immediately after being smashed for six and a four at the start of the over.

The dismissal came as Rabada bowled a 150 kmph snorter. Despite it being a pitched-up delivery, Yadav was beaten by extreme pace. He went for a drive, but the ball entered the bat and pad gap before crashing into the stumps. Rabada looked thrilled after completing redemption and celebrated the wicket in style. It was the fifth time he dismissed Yadav in T20Is.

According to Cricbuzz, Kagiso Rabada has now taken the highest number of wickets (seventh) in the power play in the ongoing season. With the seventh wicket, he eclipsed Jofra Archer (six wickets for the Rajasthan Royals).

Kagiso Rabada gave a terrific start to GT in their IPL 2026 match. Apart from Suryakumar Yadav, the Proteas pacer also got rid of MI openers Danish Malewar (2 off 4) and Quinton de Kock (13 off 11).

At the time of writing, Mumbai were 58/3 after 8 overs, with Naman Dhir (21 off 20) and Tilak Varma (4 off 3) at the crease.

MI have only won their opening game against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in IPL 2026. The five-time champions then lost four consecutive matches. As a result, they are placed at the bottom of the points table.

Meanwhile, GT have managed three wins in five games. They are placed sixth, despite having equal points as SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Delhi Capitals (DC), due to a poor net run rate (NRR).

The two teams met each other three times last season. The Titans won twice while Mumbai emerged victorious in their previous meeting.
