SunRisers Hyderabad beat the Rajasthan Royals by five wickets in the Super Saturday clash played in IPL 2026 on April 25. The Hyderabad-based franchise chased down a 229-run target with nine balls to spare to add two more points to their kitty.

SRH won the toss and returning skipper Pat Cummins chose to field first in Jaipur. The decision didn’t work in SRH’s favor initially as Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s century powered RR to 228/6 in their 20 overs.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi notched up his career’s second IPL century to inspire the Rajasthan Royals to 228/6 in their 20 overs. Dhruv Jurel supported him well with a half-century, but the other RR batters could not support him much.

Pat Cummins bowled a fantastic spell of 1/27 in four overs against the Rajasthan Royals. Although the overall run rate was above 11, Pat managed to bowl with an economy rate of 6.75.

Ishan Kishan destroyed the Rajasthan Royals bowling unit with a 31-ball 74 at number three. Abhishek Sharma chipped in with a quickfire half-ton at the top as SRH made light work of the run-chase.

Jofra Archer and Brijesh Sharma bagged a couple of wickets each for the Royals. However, their efforts went in vain as the chase ended in less than 19 overs.

1. SunRisers Hyderabad broke Punjab Kings’ record for the highest team total in IPL history at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium. SRH scored 229, while PBKS had scored 219 against RR last season.
2. SRH broke their own record for the highest successful run-chase in Jaipur. In 2023, SRH chased down 215 against RR at their home, and now they have chased down 229.
3. Riyan Parag lost a match for the first time as captain when RR were defending a target of 200 or more.
