WWE star Jade Cargill sent a heartfelt message to her husband today on social media. The former AEW star competed in a title match at WWE WrestleMania 42 but came up short.
Cargill is married to former MLB player Brandon Phillips in real life. Phillips had an impressive career in the MLB and recently signed a one-day contract with the Cincinnati Reds so he could be inducted into the organization’s Hall of Fame on the same day.
Thanks for the submission!
Jade Cargill took to social media to note that her husband gave her all the motivation she needed and that his legacy was cemented.
“My husband gives me the motivation that I can do it all. So proud of him. All the hard work. His legacy is cemented,” he wrote.
Rhea Ripley won the Women’s Elimination Chamber match earlier this year to earn a title match against Cargill at The Show of Shows. B-Fab and Michin interfered in the match to help Cargill, but IYO SKY made the save. The Eradicator defeated Cargill via pinfall after connecting with the Riptide in the middle of the ring.
WWE legend wants to have a match against Jade Cargill
Wrestling icon Mickie James recently shared that she wanted to have a match against Jade Cargill.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, James revealed that she would like to have a rivalry with the 33-year-old. She noted that Cargill needed a rivalry that would make WWE fans invest in her character.
“I would actually like really enjoy to do a program with Jade Cargill, as well. I always love that story of the underdog, and she is like such a presence. I just feel like I would hope to tell that story the right way, it would be really cool. It would be different. Emotional. And I think it would be good for her, too. I feel like she needs some of that, where people genuinely either want to hate her guts or love her,” she said.
It will be interesting to see what WWE has planned for Cargill after she lost her title to Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania.
