Sachia Vickery spoke about the financial realities of life on tour in an interview with Wealth Wednesdays, where she reflected on how inconsistent results directly impact a player’s earnings and long-term planning.

The American explained that growing up through financial struggles shaped her mindset, adding that the unpredictable nature of tennis income has forced her to stay disciplined with spending and think carefully about her future.

“In tennis, there’s so much stress every week that if you have a bad week, you can’t spend as much money because you don’t make as much money. If you have a good week or two, you may have four bad weeks after that. You never really know what’s going to happen,” she said.

Vickery continued discussing the ups and downs of managing money on tour, explaining how inconsistent results can impact earnings.

“This year has definitely been the most successful year financially that I’ve had in my career. I’ve learned to make sure I’m always aware of what I’m spending, and to just really think into the future,” she added.

Sachia Vickery is expected to continue competing on the ITF circuit in the coming weeks, although no confirmed next tournament has been officially listed yet.
