Lando Norris‘ girlfriend, Margarida Corceiro, and Max Verstappen’s girlfriend, Kelly Piquet, attended the ‘Women of F1’ dinner along with other F1 WAGs. Magui and Kelly, along with the other WAGs, are facing backlash for the same as fans took to the social media platform X.
Ahead of the Miami GP, Alex Albon’s girlfriend Lily Muni organised a ‘Women of F1’ dinner in collaboration with Apple TV and Beats by DRE. With Apple TV taking the broadcasting rights for F1 starting in 2026, and Miami GP being the first US race of the season, the dinner was organised to celebrate the women of F1.
F1 TV presenter Ariana Bravo, Carlos Sainz’s girlfriend Rebecca Donaldson, George Russell’s girlfriend Carmen Montero Mundt, and Esteban Ocon’s girlfriend Flavy Barla joined Kelly Piquet and Margarida Corceiro at the dinner.
Fans took to the social media platform X and expressed their frustration. The fans weren’t offended by the F1 WAGs gathering together for a dinner, but with AppleTV calling it ‘Women of F1’.
Fans pointed out how, instead of calling the women who actually work in F1, like the engineers, journalists, strategists, and presenters, Apple TV invited the WAGs.
“Not again please, they just told us they just go to F1 ACADEMY RACES FOR THE PIC so they can get brand deals & we’re letting them host a “women in f1” party? @AppleTV next time invite the hosts, reporters, journalists,F1 Academy girls, even the influencers of F1 are better fit,” commented a user
Another wrote, “I’m sorry this just p*ssed me off like how the hell did wags shape women in motorsport? what do they do for the sport other than show up?”
“I’m actually so tired of “women of f1” events constantly revolving around wags like women only exist in this sport as someone’s girlfriend or wife. there are female engineers, journalists, strategists, presenters, photographers, and executives in the paddock too,” commented another
One fan pointed out how Apple TV changed the caption of the Instagram post after the backlash, while another expected better from Lily Muni, who is a professional golfer herself.
“You’d think someone like Lily Muni He, as a professional athlete in a male dominated field, would understand how important representation is. Hosting a ‘women in F1’ dinner for wags instead of women who actually work in the F1/motorsport world is sad and kinda embarrassing ngl,” commented a user
Another wrote, “Changing the caption doesn’t change anything it’s still major disrespect to the women who have to fight their way to get to their positions in motorsport”
“There does need to be a conversation how the ACTUAL women in f1 (f1academy, female mechanics/engineers etc) are overlooked,” mentioned another

Lando Norris’ girlfriend, Margarida Corceiro, took to Instagram and uploaded multiple stories from the dinner hosted by Lily Muni in collaboration with Apple TV and Beats by DRE. One of the stories was a video selfie with Max Verstappen’s girlfriend, Kelly Piquet.
Both Margarida Corceiro and Kelly Piquet wore a black dress to the dinner. In the video uploaded by Magui, the two models can be seen posing for a selfie, with Lando Norris’ girlfriend holding a glass of white wine.
Lando Norris and Margarida Corceiro were first seen together at the Monte Carlo Masters in 2024, and were soon followed by Magui’s appearance at the Monaco GP. The Portuguese model became a regular in the paddock last season and was often seen in the McLaren garage, supporting her boyfriend.
