“Her legacy will never be forgotten”: John Force Racing points official assertion on the dying of the NHRA icon’s eldest daughter Adria

The motorsports community is in mourning following the official statement from John Force Racing confirming the passing of Adria Force Hight. She was the eldest daughter of the NHRA legend John Force and the wife of multi-time Funny Car champion Robert Hight.

Adria was the quiet powerhouse who was one of the first employees of the JFR. Moreover, she was the quiet force who orchestrated the business operations that allowed the Force family to become the most dominant name in NHRA history. She passed away on April 28 at the age of 56 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

In a post on X, John Force Racing’s official handle wrote:

“It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Adria (Force) Hight, the oldest daughter of John Force. After graduating from Huntington Beach High School, Adria joined the family drag racing business, becoming one of the first employees of John Force Racing.”

“She played an instrumental role in building the organization from the ground up, handling everything from answering phones and selling t-shirts out of the race trailer, to ultimately serving as CFO of one of the winningest teams in motorsports history. Her impact, dedication, and legacy will never be forgotten.”

While her sisters, Ashley, Brittany, and Courtney dominated the headlines on the track, Adria was the strategic mind in the JFR office.

More details about John Force’s eldest daughter Adria Hight

Adria Force began her career at John Force Racing immediately after high school, working her way up from answering phones to serving as the organization’s Chief Financial Officer. She was often described as the glue that held the JFR empire together during its most explosive years of growth.

She was formerly married to three-time Funny Car champion Robert Hight, with whom she had a daughter, Autumn, who continues the family’s racing legacy. After her marriage to ex-husband Hight was ended, Adria got engaged to Jimmy Collins.

Adria’s passing in Indianapolis follows a period of transition for the team, including Robert Hight’s recent retirement. While the obituary did not disclose the cause of death, per her wishes, a private service will be held in Terre Haute, Indiana. Moreover, a celebration of life is scheduled for later this year in California.
