Travis Hunter’s first year with Jaguars was cut short due to injury

The Jaguars took Travis Hunter with the No. 2 pick in the 2025 NFL draft. He played seven games for Jacksonville in his rookie season before a knee injury that he suffered in training on Oct. 30 ruled him out for the rest of the season.
Hunter posted 298 yards and a touchdown on 28 receptions. He also recorded 15 tackles (11 solo) and three passes defended as a cornerback.
Although Hunter’s knee injury cut short his rookie season, the two-way star is expected to be healthy for the start of the 2026 season. In March, the Jaguars said that Hunter should be medically cleared to return for the OTAs. They are also looking to balance his workload on both sides of the ball.
