This is How WWE RAW Before Saturday Night’s Main Event Must Be Booked

WWE RAW will emanate from the First Horizon Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina, tonight. It will mark the go-home edition of the red show before the much-awaited Saturday Night’s Main Event XLIV in Fort Wayne.

The company has announced three matches thus far for Saturday Night’s Main Event. Fans widely expect the creative team to add another thrilling contest to the show’s card tonight. Meanwhile, WWE will continue the buildup to Clash in Italy, which will take place on May 31, on this week’s RAW.

General manager Adam Pearce recently shared a mini preview of tonight’s WWE RAW. World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns will appear on the program after suffering another brutal attack at the hands of Jacob Fatu. A massive Women’s Tag Team Championship match is also set to take place. Oba Femi will continue his open challenge, and Seth Rollins will likely address The Vision.

Ahead of a massive Mask vs. Mask Match between the El Grande Americanos in AAA, their teams will lock horns in a six-man tag team contest tonight on WWE RAW. Overall, the show promises to be a star-studded, action-packed affair.

Tonight, WWE must deliver on all fronts to ensure fans remain invested in the buildup to Saturday Night’s Main Event and Clash in Italy. In this article, we will discuss how WWE RAW before SNME XLIV must be booked.

#4. Roman Reigns and The Usos Must Hunt Down Jacob Fatu

Following his triumph at WrestleMania 42, Roman Reigns received an unexpected challenge. Jacob Fatu interrupted his segment on WWE RAW and staked his claim to the World Heavyweight Championship. Fatu cut a fiery promo explaining why he needed to win the title. The OTC was furious because The Samoan Werewolf decided to pursue the gold.

The Usos, who recently reunited with Reigns, tried their best to convince Fatu to withdraw the challenge. However, the former United States Champion crossed the line and put his hands on The Tribal Chief. He even utilized the feared Tongan Death Grip to take out Reigns ahead of their match at Backlash.

In Tampa, Roman Reigns managed to defeat Jacob Fatu after the latter went crashing face-first into the exposed turnbuckle. A disappointed and enraged Fatu launched a post-match attack on the OTC. He even assaulted WWE officials to send a message to the roster.

Last week on WWE RAW, Reigns demanded that The Samoan Werewolf acknowledge him following his win at Backlash. In response, the former Bloodline member attacked the OTC and The Usos to make it clear that their rivalry was far from over.

Reigns will appear on tonight’s WWE RAW. He will undoubtedly be furious after being attacked by Jacob Fatu. The OTC should go back to his villainous roots and devise a plan to take down Fatu alongside The Usos.

The Tribal Chief, Jey, and Jimmy should gang up on The Samoan Werewolf and viciously assault him backstage on WWE RAW. Fatu has arguably dominated the OG Bloodline leader on every occasion in their ongoing feud. However, it’s time for Reigns to hit back at his rival and deal a major blow.

Reigns and The Usos should leave Fatu in a pool of his own blood before challenging him to a rematch at Clash in Italy. The premium live event in Turin is inching closer, and tonight seems like the perfect time to announce Reigns vs. Fatu II.

#3. Adam Pearce Should Announce a Steel Cage Match Between Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker For SNME

The animosity between Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker is at an all-time high. They have been feuding for months, but have failed to settle their differences thus far. At Backlash, Breakker defeated Rollins with the help of his Vision teammates. Hence, The Visionary is now hungry for revenge.

WWE continued the Rollins-Breakker feud on the RAW after Backlash. The former Universal Champion cost The Vision a potential win over Joe Hendry and The Street Profits. Tonight on WWE RAW, Adam Pearce should make a huge announcement involving The Future and Rollins.

With SNME XLIV mere days away, Pearce should book Rollins vs. Breakker II in a Steel Cage Match on the show. WWE usually hosts four matches at SNME, and a slot is seemingly available on the card for the upcoming edition of the show.

The creative team needs to deliver a marquee match at SNME to capture fans’ attention. Seth Rollins vs. Bron Breakker has the star power and the stakes to headline the show in Fort Wayne on May 23. A potential Steel Cage Match could also fit perfectly in the old-school setting of Saturday Night’s Main Event.

If WWE plans to book a trilogy involving Rollins and Breakker, a Steel Cage Match could be a solid second bout of the series. It could also enable Rollins to pick up his first win in singles matches since Crown Jewel 2025.

#2. Baron Corbin Should Answer Oba Femi’s Open Challenge on WWE RAW

Oba Femi recently started an open challenge series on WWE RAW. He has already picked up wins over Otis and Los Garza. However, fans are displeased with The Ruler’s booking and the nature of his recent bouts. Many feel Femi should have squashed mid-card wrestlers before facing Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 42.

Following an underwhelming performance, which arguably buried Los Garza on last week’s program, Femi should face a credible opponent tonight. Two-time WWE champion Baron Corbin could be the perfect candidate to battle The Ruler on this week’s show.

A recent report by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter indicated that The Lone Wolf was in talks with WWE about a potential comeback. If the story is true, Corbin should return as early as tonight’s WWE RAW and answer Femi’s open challenge.

A potential back-and-forth showdown between Femi and Corbin could bring a much-needed change to the open challenge series. It could be a genuine surprise for fans and a solid platform for the former NXT Tag Team Champion’s rumored return.

#1. Paige & Brie Bella Must Lose Their Gold Because of Nikki Bella

The Bella Twins were supposed to compete in a four-way Women’s Tag Team Championship match at WrestleMania 42. However, Nikki got injured before the event and had to undergo surgery. Hence, a returning Paige replaced her in the title bout at The Show of Shows.

Nikki Bella helped Brie and Paige win the Women’s Tag Team Championship at ‘Mania. Since then, she has largely been away from the company’s programming. However, she has been keeping a close eye on the duo’s work on RAW and SmackDown.

Nikki has a history of betraying her allies. This week, WWE should plant the seeds for The Fearless One’s betrayal of The Glampire. Paige and Brie will defend their title against Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez of The Judgment Day on tonight’s WWE RAW.

The injured star should make a surprise appearance as the babyface duo’s manager on this week’s show. She should inadvertently cost them the championship to lay the foundation for a potential betrayal.

Nikki is medically not cleared to compete right now. However, she will likely return to in-ring action later this year to resume her tag team run with Brie. Hence, WWE would have to conclude Brie’s partnership with The Glampire sooner rather than later.

A potential mix-up and championship loss would create issues between Nikki, Brie, and Paige. It could also allow The Judgment Day to pick up a huge win and regain its spot at the top of WWE RAW.
