EA Sports officially revealed the Standard and Deluxe Edition covers of its College Football 27 video game on Tuesday morning, confirming a leak on Xbox over the weekend that also showed that Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams will be on the cover of Madden NFL 27.
This marks the third installment of the College Football video game series since EA Spots revived and renamed NCAA Football after an 11-year hiatus, but just the second to feature three players on the Standard Edition cover in Miami (Fla.) wide receiver Malachi Toney, Oregon quarterback Dante Moore and Ole Miss running back Kewan Lacy.

They join Colorado wide receiver/cornerback – and eventual Heisman Trophy winner – Travis Hunter, Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers and Michigan running back Donovan Edwards, who graced the Standard Edition cover of College Football 25 and were joined by several other athletes on the Deluxe Edition cover.
Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith and Alabama wideout Ryan Coleman-Williams were the Standard Edition cover athletes for College Football 26 and were also joined by several coaches, current and former players and mascots on the Deluxe Edition cover.
This year’s Deluxe Edition cover, meanwhile, puts Indiana head coach Curt Cignetti at the forefront after he led the Hoosiers to a 16-0 record, the Big Ten title and their first national championship last season. He’s flanked by Moore, Toney, USC quarterback Jayden Maiava, Texas defensive end Colin Simmons, Notre Dame cornerback Leonard Moore and mascots from WKU, LSU and Arizona State, while Indiana’s Memorial Stadium serves as the backdrop.
“College Football 27 promises to be an incredible year, one in which we’re able to start reflecting the modern era of college football more authentically and with more depth for our players than ever before,” EA Sports vice president of franchise strategy and marketing Evan Dexter said in a press release.
“Our cover athletes represent that modern era by transcending programs and drawing in generations of college football fans, regardless of their school pride. We built the game for those fans and we can’t wait for them to see the full reveal of College Football 27 on June 4.”

Toney is coming off a freshman year in which he set the Hurricanes’ all-time single-season record with 109 catches for 1,211 yards and 10 touchdowns and helped them reach the national championship game. Moore, meanwhile, threw for 3,565 yards and 30 touchdowns to lead the Ducks to the College Football Playoff semifinals.
Lacy rushed for 1,567 yards, which was the third-most nationally, and 24 touchdowns as the Rebels also appeared in the national semifinal. Oregon and Ole Miss were represented on the Deluxe Edition cover of College Football 26 by head coaches Dan Lanning and Lane Kiffin, while former Ducks quarterback Joey Harrington was on the cover of NCAA Football 2003.
