There has been some bad news for WWE on the road to SummerSlam 2026. The PLE will take place over two nights this year, on August 1 and 2, at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The ratings for the RAW after Clash in Italy have been revealed by Netflix, and the show brought in the lowest viewership since the promotion debuted on the streaming platform in January 2025. The June 1 edition of WWE RAW brought in 2 million viewers and had a 2 PM ET start time on Netflix.

The King and Queen of the Ring tournaments are currently underway on RAW and SmackDown. The winners of the tournaments will go on to have a title match at SummerSlam 2026.
Seth Rollins defeated Bron Breakker in the main event of last week’s show. Breakker accidentally Speared Paul Heyman through the barricade during the bout.
Rollins competed in a King of the Ring Fatal 4-Way match last night on RAW but came up short after Bron Breakker interfered. Je’Von Evans emerged victorious in the match to advance to the semifinals of the tournament. Jacob Fatu also acknowledged Roman Reigns as his Tribal Chief during the show after losing to the World Heavyweight Champion at Clash in Italy.
Former WWE star claims the company is creatively bankrupt
Wrestling veteran Stevie Richards recently took the promotion to task for being creatively bankrupt.
Speaking on The Stevie Richards Show, the legend claimed that Triple H was serving too many masters and that the company hadn’t had a good creative idea in a long time. He suggested that WWE was more focused on making money than creating captivating storylines.
“I just feel like WWE, they’re overcomplicating it. They’re overprocessing it. They overcorporatized it. Although, of course, really overcorporatized it. And I feel like they’re creatively bankrupt and have been for a long time. Not because you can’t create, it’s because all these other masters that Triple H is serving…It’s an advertising system with some creative control,” he added.
It will be interesting to see if the promotion has any surprises planned on the road to SummerSlam 2026.
