Dwight Howard and his ex-wife, Amber Luciani, have been in a divorce battle since March. The former Lakers player married Luciani in January 2025, but their relationship couldn’t stand the test of time.
On Monday, TMZ reported the latest on Howard’s divorce drama. According to the report, Howard has filed court documents requesting a protective order against his ex-wife. He accused the reality TV star of making false statements to law enforcement about him.
Thanks for the submission!
“He said Amber started a ‘crusade of lies and defamation’ against him… costing him job opportunities,” TMZ wrote. “He said she is also spreading lies about him to his family, friends, and the mothers of his children. Dwight said Amber also made false statements about him to law enforcement.”

Later in the report, Dwight Howard accused Luciani of lying about her fertility.
“Dwight says his ex had a ‘history of lying and manipulating’ him… claiming she knew she was unable to have children but ‘denied that fact and actively lied about’ it, resulting in their marriage.”
In March, Luciani had accused Howard of using cocaine and being an addict during their relationship. The reality TV star made a video of herself crying in a car while showing off a white powdery substance on the camera.
Dwight Howard denied using drugs amid ugly divorce battle
Dwight Howard had denied using drugs following his ex-wife’s wild accusations. In March, he addressed the accusations in a Snapchat post.
“Never done coke in my life y’all will believe everything y’all see on the internet lol,” he wrote. “Me reading the hate & slander in the comments.”
Apart from accusing the former three-time Defensive Player of the Year of spoiling his relationship because of drugs, Luciani had revealed that child protection services had been to her home three times in less than three months.
A few days after the reality TV star’s crashout, Howard and Luciani had reached an agreement to stay away from each other for at least 100 yards while also not harassing each other on social media.
The former couple was living at Howard’s Georgia mansion. The former Lakers star was granted the sole use of the mansion, but he was ordered to pay Luciani $10,000 to help her move out.
