Bray Wyatt had apparently found a faction similar to the iconic WWE team, The Wyatt Family, that he wanted to bring to the Stamford-based promotion.
According to WWE veteran Matt Hardy, Bray Wyatt was quite impressed with the TNA duo of Dutch and Vincent, who make up The Righteous. The stable has similar themes and tone to The Wyatt Family, something that probably piqued Bray Wyatt’s interest in them.
Thanks for the submission!
Speaking on Rewing Recap Relive, Matt Hardy stated:
“There was a point, too, where Windham, Bray Wyatt, was very interested in bringing The Righteous to WWE with him when he was doing The Fiend stuff. So they had communicated back and forth quite a bit. It kind of ties into we all feel like family, especially all of these characters that are larger than life, kind of superhuman to a degree, that do these special things that seem not like normal human beings wrestling in a match. They seem like really character-driven or magical to a degree in their core. They all kind of fit into that family. Myself and Bray, we worked together for a year, and it’s hard to believe he’s not here. It’s hard to believe he’s gone. He should be here with us. Still working his magic, but I’m very proud of The Righteous and what they’ve done and what they’ve accomplished and how much they have grown in the field of pro wrestling.”

WWE veteran Matt Hardy also praised The Righteous
According to Matt Hardy, The Righteous deserve the praise they got from Bray Wyatt.
In the same interview, Hardy was asked if he thought that The Wyatt Family and The Righteous were similar. He said:
“I do. They fit in that genre, no doubt about it. The Righteous aren’t just one of the most interesting teams in TNA, they’re one of the most interesting teams in all of pro wrestling, in my opinion.”
Whether The Righteous will make their way to WWE down the line is something only time will tell.
