Lio Rush “Obsessed”; Disturbing Footage Emerges Of Former WWE Star Ahead Of Blockbuster Bout

Former WWE Superstar Lio Rush plies his trade with AEW and its sister promotion, ROH, these days, and also appears in the independent circuit. Ahead of a blockbuster title bout, he shared some disturbing footage on social media.

“Blackheart” Lio Rush is the reigning ROH World Television Champion, and he was slated to face off against another former WWE Superstar, Shotzi. Ahead of his major title clash at GCW Amerikaz Most Wanted 2026, he appeared for an interview with TMZ’s Inside the Ring.

The disturbing clip shared by the 31-year-old star on X/Twitter was mostly unintelligible, with even the host appearing quite frustrated with Rush. He kept stating the word “obsessed” and then “black” and didn’t stop till the clip faded away.

“WE are obsessed🖤,” Rush wrote.

You can check out the video in the clip below:

Rush reinvented himself early this year as “Blackheart,” and adopted a horror-inspired, almost demonic persona with a shaved head, white contact lens, and bizarre mannerisms. Meanwhile, Shotzi reverted to her older Shotzi Blackheart persona after her WWE release.

Interestingly, there is no real connection between the two Blackhearts, as Shotzi’s surname was inspired by her admiration for rock icon Joan Jett rather than any supernatural concept.

Lio Rush Carries His Opponent After His Win

“BlackHeart” Lio Rush has really leaned into his gimmick and recently won the ROH World Television Title after beating Action Andretti and former champion, AR Fox, at Global Wars.

He put his title on the line against Shotzi Blackheart at the recent GCW Amerikaz Most Wanted 2026 event. In an entertaining intergender match, he was able to overcome his opponent. Curiously, in an eerie segment, he then picked up Shotzi on his shoulder and carried her backstage after the match.

It remains to be seen what is next for the 31-year-old’s Blackheart gimmick. He recently received words of high praise from the reigning AEW World Champion, MJF.
