See You at Work Tomorrow! episodes 3 to 4 recap: Cha Ji-yoon finds closure as Kang Si-woo’s past resurfaces

Episodes 3 of See You at Work Tomorrow! begins with Cha Ji-yoon officially transferring to Kang Si-woo’s team. Her former manager refuses to release her and insists that she complete her previous assignment. Even though Si-woo wants her to focus entirely on their new project, Ji-yoon decides to manage both workloads because she does not want to leave extra work for her former teammates.

The team’s biggest challenge is creating a machine that produces perfectly clear sphere shaped ice balls for the company’s upcoming refrigerator launch. Si-woo repeatedly rejects the prototypes, demanding the highest quality.

Although his strict standards initially make Ji-yoon uncomfortable, she soon realizes that he is nothing like the intimidating boss described by office gossip. He values her abilities, trusts her with important responsibilities, and openly acknowledges her contributions.

Motivated by his faith in her, Ji-yoon begins working longer hours and even starts arriving at the office early. She also finds out that Si-woo has been previously married and divorced, making her sympathize with the emotional challenges he must have faced.

As they spend more time together, the two also grow closer outside work because they live in the same neighborhood. Meanwhile, Ji-yoon learns that her ex boyfriend is finally making his debut as a singer with a song he has written for her. Although the news stirs old memories, she remains determined to move on.

One day, Si-woo drives Ji-yoon home, where they run into her ex. He invites her to his debut showcase and makes it clear that he still wants to rekindle their relationship. Believing she needs closure, Si-woo encourages Ji-yoon to attend the performance.

After watching her ex sing, Ji-yoon becomes emotional and quietly leaves. But her ex follows her and proposes that they get married. Ji-yoon turns him down, explaining that they are too different to make the relationship work. She asks him not to change himself for her, and the two finally part ways.

Although Si-woo worries he may have made the wrong decision by encouraging her to attend the concert, he is relieved when he learns that she has truly moved on. He later invites her out for drinks, and the pair continue becoming closer.

As the refrigerator launch approaches, Si-woo asks Ji-yoon to deliver the final presentation, believing she knows the project better than anyone else. However, her former manager tries to discourage her by spreading old rumors that Si-woo once pushed a colleague so hard that the employee developed anxiety and left the company.

Ji-yoon ignores the claims and continues preparing with Si-woo’s support. Later, Si-woo’s ex wife helps clear his name by encouraging the former employee to reveal the truth through the company’s internal portal.

The night before the presentation, Ji-yoon comes down with a high fever and Si-woo looks after her. His thoughtful gesture moves her immensely. The next day, she successfully delivers the presentation, earning praise from the company’s executives.

After celebrating the successful presentation over dinner, Si-woo reminds Ji-yoon to take better care of her health and avoid foods that upset her stomach. His concern makes her realize how important he has become to her.

Her feelings for Si-woo makes her self conscious the next day as she arrives at the office with drinks for both of them and finds him smiling while talking to his ex wife. The unexpected sight leaves Ji-yoon feeling unsettled and forces her to question whether her feelings for him have become something more. Episode 4 of See You at Work Tomorrow! ends on this note.
