Conor can’t enable that to occur

Henry Cejudo recently shared his thoughts on the Conor McGregor vs. Max Holloway rematch and explained how the Irishman could beat the Hawaiian native.

Nearly five years after his ill-fated trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021, McGregor is set to make his long-awaited return to action. The former two-division UFC champion will go up against Holloway in a welterweight rematch at UFC 329 on July 11. In their previous encounter at UFC Boston in August 2013, McGregor beat Holloway via unanimous decision.

Given McGregor’s lack of activity over the past few years, many believe Holloway has this fight in the bag. However, Cejudo believes the Irishman has a path to victory. In a video shared to his socials, ‘Triple C’ explained how McGregor could beat Holloway and said:

“First, Conor McGregor has to attack the body. Not just because Max Holloway has the best gas tank in the UFC, but it’s because he has to slow him down. If you let Max keep his pace for 25 minutes, Conor McGregor, you’re in trouble… Max is one of the best fighters in the world at making reads.”

He added:

“If you give him the same look over and over, he will start walking you down. So, you have to pick your shots and make this guy miss, then make him pay with that left hand… Third, Conor has to make Max respect his power early. Holloway is the best when he’s marching forward, throwing volume, and forcing you to fight him at his pace. Conor cannot allow that to happen. He has to land something big in the first couple of rounds that makes Max think twice before coming forward.”

Sean O’Malley previews Conor McGregor vs. Max Holloway rematch with a Jose Aldo joke

Sean O’Malley recently shared his thoughts on the Conor McGregor vs. Max Holloway rematch and issued a preview.

In a video posted to his YouTube channel, O’Malley referenced McGregor’s iconic 12-second KO victory over Jose Aldo and said:

“So, official Conor-Max prediction? I’m saying 13-second KO. First round. Aldo two… Jokes! I don’t know. I feel like Conor’s going to crack him. He’s going to look good. He’s going to look fast. He’s like, ‘Holy s***, Conor’s back.’ But I do think those five rounds are going to play an issue, and Max might start taking over in the later rounds. That’s what I think.”
