Palworld 1.0 is out and fans of the game are discovering all the new items and Pals that have been added. The game progression requires a lot of smart planning and getting the right material as standard crafting materials just won’t cut it anymore.
While standard Ancient Civilization Parts are used for mid-game upgrades like early grappling guns and shields, the legendary purple Ancient Civilization Cores are strictly reserved for the most advanced, top-tier technology in the game.
Securing these rare components requires moving past overworld Alphas and tackling high-level challenges. Here’s everything you need to know about these items in Palworld.
Where can you find Ancient Civilization Core in Palworld
Unlike basic materials, you cannot simply stumble across an Ancient Civilization Core sitting on the ground; they must be actively earned through specific activities. The most direct and action-packed method is by challenging Summoning Altar Raid Bosses.
By exploring high-level dungeons in the desert, volcanic regions, or the Sakurajima DLC, you can collect slab fragments to summon entities like Bellanoir, Bellanoir Libero, Blazamut Ryu, and Xenolord. Defeating these ultra-powerful raid bosses guarantees a 100% drop rate, which can give you one to six cores depending on the boss’s difficulty tier.
If you want to increase the risk but with a higher chance of more reward, you can go into the ocean to get the high-level Syndicate Oil Rigs. Infiltrating the Level 55 or Level 60 Oil Rigs allows you to seek out electronic “Greater Chests” that glow with a bright yellow light, which has a massive 90% to 93% chance to drop bunches of up to 5 cores per run.
However, if you prefer a passive, low-stress route, you can build a Pal Expedition Station at your base. After defeating key late-game Tower Bosses like Victor & Shadowbeak or Saya & Selyne, you unlock high-tier expedition maps such as the Astral Frost Cavern or the Dark Cave of Feybreak.
What does the Ancient Civilization Core do
Once you have the Ancient Civilization Core, you must be wondering what it does? These legendary components allow you to craft items like the Ultra Shield, providing the highest personal damage absorption capacity available in the game.
They also fuel your weapon power, acting as a core component for crafting high-tier firearm upgrades such as the Sniper Module II and the hyper-accurate Homing Module.
Beyond these things, Ancient Civilization Cores are essential for expanding your base’s production and breeding capabilities. For players heavily invested in breeding the perfect, passivized combat Pals, these cores are required to build the Large-Scale Egg Incubator.
This upgrade drastically accelerates your hatching routine, allowing you to hatch massive batches of eggs simultaneously rather than relying on a cluttered field of individual incubators.
