Vince McMahon “ain’t out of the game,” says WWE legend

Vince McMahon isn’t out of the game, according to a WWE legend. The former CEO of the Stamford-based promotion has been dealing with court proceedings in recent years.

He was the subject of a shareholder class-action lawsuit over the WWE-UFC merger under TKO and also faced a lawsuit alleging abuse and misconduct filed by former WWE employee Janel Grant.

McMahon received some relief in the shareholder lawsuit after he reached a settlement. Then a few days ago, it was reported that the Janel Grant lawsuit will be moved out of the public eye and into private arbitration.

This has led to speculation that he could return to WWE, having resigned from the TKO board following the misconduct allegations. Legendary WWE commentator Jim Ross believes he could make a comeback soon.

On the Grilling JR podcast, Ross was asked what’s next for Vince McMahon after the recent court proceedings. The Hall of Famer said he doesn’t believe that McMahon is done with the wrestling business.

“He ain’t out of the game. Vince isn’t out of the game. That’s just not his makeup. But what he’s going to do… one would assume it’ll have something to do with wrestling because that’s where he made his way. So, I don’t know, man. The world’s open to him. It just doesn’t seem like a lot of things interest him. He likes wrestling, and I think that’s where I’d see him headed,” he said.

JR was also asked whether working with AEW and Tony Khan is a possibility for Vince McMahon.

“Unlikely. He’s going to want to steer his own ship, build his own boat, and take it from there. So, off the top of my head, I’d say probably not. I don’t see Tony Khan wanting to do business with him either,” he said.

Former WWE star said Vince McMahon tried to sleep with her

Vince McMahon’s WWE tenure, while successful, was not short of controversies. Recently, former WCW valet Missy Hyatt, who worked briefly with WWE in 1987, made a claim against McMahon.

Speaking on Talk is Jericho, she talked about how Vince wanted her to become a Federette after the Missy’s Manor segment was dropped.

Hyatt said she considered the role beneath her due to her experience in the business. She said perhaps she should have taken it and maybe even slept with Vince, which is something he wanted. Hyatt said she rejected his advances because she was engaged.
