The Atlanta Braves are one of the best teams in baseball this season and are expected to make a deep postseason run. However, former Braves manager Brian Snitker made a big promise to President Donald Trump at his rally in Georgia.
The Braves Hall of Famer was introduced on stage by Trump with a huge ovation from the Marietta crowd. Snitker, who helped the Braves to the World Series win in 2021, promised another championship.
“Thank you Mr. President. Welcome to Marietta. And as you can see, Braves Country is a real thing. And you got a room full of Braves Country right here,” Snitker said. “Mike (Plant) and I presented President Trump with one of our Fourth of July 250th anniversary jerseys that the team wore over that weekend.

“And I just wanted to tell President Trump that we’re going to be back in Washington D.C. in about a year from now and we’re going to give him another world championship jersey.”
The World Series win in 2021 under Snitker was the Braves’ fourth and last title. Although the Braves have made the postseason in three of their last four years, they have not reached the World Series since 2021.

Following the World Series in 2021, the Braves lost franchise stalwart Freddie Freeman to the Los Angeles Dodgers. President Donald Trump acknowledged the Braves’ loss at the rally in Georgia.
“And then he loses the best player. He loses a great first baseman … and they keep going along. They get things for the first baseman. And he was really good, Dodgers got him,” Trump said.
“But I watched the Braves for years, and they’ve done such a great job. So along with one of the best managers in baseball, Braves legend Brian Snitker. Brian Snitker.”
Since joining the Dodgers, Freeman has won the World Series in the last two seasons and was named the World Series MVP for his heroics against the New York Yankees in 2024.
