WWE Hall of Famer AJ Styles thinks a young RAW Superstar should be the next World Heavyweight Champion. The retired star made these comments on his podcast.
After Seth Rollins picked up a shoulder injury at Crown Jewel 2025, the then-World Heavyweight Champion was betrayed by Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed and booted out of The Vision. It appeared that Breakker was taking charge of the stable, and a rocket was being strapped to his back as he got ready to face CM Punk at the red brand’s first anniversary on Netflix in January this year.

However, not only did Breakker lose clean to The Best in the World, he has largely been kept away from the world title picture since then. The Dog of WWE also picked up a hernia injury in early February, for which he required surgery. He was back in action within two months. Speaking about these incidents, AJ Styles felt the 28-year-old should be the next World Heavyweight Champion.
Calling Breakker a “destroyer,” Styles wondered on the latest edition of his podcast, Phenomenally Retro, when we were going to see him as the World Heavyweight Champion. He felt Breakker should be the next champ and questioned why the promotion hadn’t strapped a rocket on him yet. He also spoke about how quickly the youngster returned from his hernia surgery, and that he looks scarier than ever.
“How long are we going to wait for Bron Breakker to be [World] Heavyweight Champion? He should be next. I think that he’s definitely a star right now. Why we haven’t put it on him to put the rocket up his bu*t and send him to the freaking moon? I don’t know why we haven’t done that because he is the destroyer. Yeah well, he had to get a surgery done or he had a hernia or something. But the fact he was out and now he’s back and he’s even scarier than before. Like let’s go,” Styles said. [H/T: Fightful]

AJ Styles has a new role in WWE
On last week’s edition of his podcast Phenomenally Retro, AJ Styles revealed he had a new role in WWE.
Speaking about the Street Fight on the July 21 edition of NXT between NARAKU and Tony D’Angelo, The Phenomenal One said he helped produce the clash. With his backstage role usually limited to talent scouting and WWE ID, he appeared to have enjoyed this new task.
“I was able to help with the producing of the Tony D/NARAKU match, and I thought it went really, really well,” Styles said.
It remains to be seen if the Stamford-based promotion listens to the WWE Hall of Famer and indeed puts the World Heavyweight Championship on Bron Breakker anytime soon.
For now, reigning champion Roman Reigns is set to put the title on the line against the former leader of The Vision, Seth Rollins, at the upcoming SummerSlam PLE.
