Liverpool legend Mohamed Salah has reportedly set his wage demands to join Saudi Pro League sides. He wants to be paid more than former teammate Sadio Mane, who joined Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr in 2023.
According to WinWin, Salah has been in talks with Saudi Pro League sides as well as Turkish clubs. He is still evaluating his options and has not decided his next step yet.

Besiktas were reported to have reached an agreement with the Liverpool legend, but they confirmed that a last-minute change in demands has stalled the talks.
He was then linked with a move to Trabzonspor, but their club president Ertugrul Dogan has rebuffed claims. He insisted that there have been no talks, nor are they interested in signing him and told A Spor:
“There is no such agreement. As for plans to bring him to Trabzon, there is no such plan; there is nothing to it. If there were such a plan, information would be provided from our side, the press would be informed, and so on. There is no such thing. Salah is a very professional, highly successful player known worldwide. He is one of the players with the best careers out there.”
“Of course, who wouldn’t want Salah? That is a separate matter. But as of now, there is no such agreement involving our club. I am emphasizing this, though perhaps I am not getting the message across clearly: there is no such agreement.”
Salah has now switched focus to Saudi Pro League sides and has set his demands. He wants to be paid more than Mane is getting at Al-Nassr, which is reported to be $45 million per season. Reports suggest Al-Ittihad are the Saudi side interested in signing him.

Besiktas director Onder Ozen spoke to the media last month, confirming that they had held talks with Mohamed Salah. However, he was quick to state that they were far from an agreement because of the changes in demands from the Liverpool legend and said:
“We contacted Salah, this also involved a financing model. Salah is a global star, a respected athlete. We met with Salah three times before the financial part of the negotiations was discussed. Up to this point, everything was smooth. When the financial side began, the initial smoothness slowed down from July 21st onwards.”
Mohamed Salah left Liverpool at the end of the 2025/26 season, cutting hsort his agreement with the club by a season following a fallout with then manager, Arne Slot.
