The Indiana Pacers unveiled new Statement Edition uniforms for the upcoming season that are heavily influenced by the late 1990s and early 2000s but feature several modern touches, “carrying (that) era forward, not by recreating the past, but by giving it a bold new expression.”
The Pacers initially introduced home white and navy blue road uniforms featuring an “Indiana” wordmark across the chest and contrasting pinstripes in 1997 before adding a gold alternate in 1998. The design spanned eight seasons, including a trip to the 2000 NBA Finals.
Like those uniforms, the new gold Statement set features a predominantly navy blue collar and arm holes, but rather than thick navy blue side panels on the jersey and shorts, there’s reimagined piping that mimics the shape of their state outline secondary logo.
This design is only carried down the left side of the uniforms, which feature a slight gradient that transitions from the shade used on their 2023-24 and 2024-25 City Edition uniforms (Process Yellow C) on the right side to the primary shade (Pantone 116 C) on the left.
The arched “Indiana” wordmark and numbers are also in their modern font, rather than the double outline block font on their classic uniforms, while their state logo fits neatly into the piping. The uniforms are complete with “Boom Baby!” above the jock tag.
That, of course, is the famous catchphrase of late coach and commentator Bobby “Slick” Leonard, who is also the namesake of the Pacers’ G League Affiliate, the Noblesville Boom. This detail first appeared on last season’s City Edition uniforms.
The Pacers did not reveal how many times they’ll wear their new Statement Edition uniforms this year, but it’s worth noting their previous set was a favorite for fans and All-Star forward Tyrese Haliburton as they wore them exclusively on their way to the 2025 NBA Finals.
