How to get Megaphone in Big Walk

Communicating with your fellow players is a core game mechanic in Big Walk. The game comes with a proximity voice chat by default, but it has a short range. So if you want to communicate with your fellow players across longer distances, you will need to acquire the Megaphone.

Here’s everything that you need to know about finding the Megaphone in Big Walk.

Big Walk: How to get the Megaphone

The Megaphone is not locked behind any progression system or quest; instead, it is a world item that you have to find while exploring the Big Walk map. Most of the items in the game do not appear in the same spot across every session and sometimes it won’t even appear in the map. So, if you can’t find the item in its previous spot, keep exploring other areas that might have it.

While exploring you will come across yellow structures (made of cubes) around the map where you can often find the Megaphone. These structures are easy to spot even from a distance. Here are the three spots that usually yield the Megaphone:

  • The first spot is in the northernmost part of the island. Find the yellow tower and look for the Megaphone on the cliff near it.
  • The second spot is near the green tower located in the central part of the map.
  • The third spot is located on the southern shore of the map. To reach the third structure you will need to progress through the game and unlock the Ski Lift.

Once you have found the Megaphone, it will effectively occupy one of your hands. So you will have to drop the Megaphone temporarily before you can pick up anything else. This isn’t very useful when you and your teammates are in close proximity, but becomes extremely vital if you are far away from one another.

Big Walk also has much better communication devices like walkie-talkies, but they require every member of your team to have one to work effectively.

Co-operative gameplay is one of the key features of Big Walk, so acquiring the ability to communicate over longer distances will help your team to explore the island separately rather than sticking together, allowing you to progress through the game much faster.
