A major WWE return is reportedly planned for tonight’s episode of SmackDown. Tonight’s show is the first episode of the blue brand since SummerSlam 2026 and will air live in Philadelphia.
According to a new report from False Finish, a popular star will be returning during tonight’s episode of SmackDown. Alexa Bliss has been out of action since the July 10 episode of SmackDown, when Jade Cargill brutally stomped on her elbow after defeating the veteran in a singles match.
Thanks for the submission!
Charlotte Flair is in an alliance with Alexa Bliss on SmackDown and has been in an intense rivalry with Jade Cargill for a while now. The two stars competed in a ladder match at SummerSlam to determine the interim WWE Women’s Champion, along with three more stars in the bout.
Chelsea Green emerged victorious to capture her first major title in the company. Rhea Ripley took to social media yesterday to announce that she had undergone surgery and will be out of action for the foreseeable future. Ripley became champion by defeating Jade Cargill in a singles match at WrestleMania 42 earlier this year in Las Vegas.
Alexa Bliss comments on Jade Cargill’s attack last month on WWE SmackDown
WWE SmackDown star Alexa Bliss recently shared her thoughts on Jade Cargill’s brutal attack last month on the blue brand.
In an interview on ESPN’s Vibe Check, Bliss discussed the damage done by Cargill during the attack last month on SmackDown. The former champion shared that she had an overstretched ligament and a bone chip.
“Jade [Cargill] got me. She bent my elbow backward with a chair, which is fine because I have bendy elbows, but it went a little too far and when she slammed the chair, I think there is a bone chip and this ligament is a little overstretched. It’s sore, but it’s more of an inconvenience with how bulky [the brace] is. It’s keeping things in place, it’s healing fast, and I’m hoping it’s just a couple of weeks and we’re good,” Bliss said.
