AEW is the land of factions. Groups like the Death Riders, the Hurt Syndicate, the Triangle of Madness, the Demand, and the Don Callis Family, among others, are forces to be reckoned with. Tony Khan has booked most of them well so far.
One of AEW’s most talented factions is the Conglomeration. Former WWE stars Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly are members of this group. The duo is known as the Paragon, and they are worthy of winning the AEW World Tag Team Titles in the near future.
Strong and O’Reilly locked horns in the first round of the Continental Challenge Cup on this week’s Collision. This was an extraordinary showdown, which O’Reilly convincingly won. Interestingly, after this match, Strong pushed his friend due to frustration. But he quickly came to his senses and pulled him back up, embraced him, and raised his hand.
The former International Champion evidently teased a heel turn. If the 43-year-old indeed joins the dark side someday, it will be a heartbreaking moment. After all, the Conglomeration and the Paragon are two of the most adored groups in the company.
Roderick Strong says that he still has many things to do in AEW
Roderick Strong had a conversation with Renee Paquette for Close Up earlier this year. The former WWE star said that he has many things left to do in All Elite Wrestling. He wants to accomplish many of his goals.
“Oh, 100%, and, you know, I still have a lot of goals, believe it or not. Like, there are so many things still left to be done here in AEW for me. I just, you know, like I said, just keep going back to, like, I’m a part of it, but I’m not it. That is something that… especially at this point, knowing that whenever the time comes that I’ll be done, it’s that’s closer to me starting my career. I really feel like I need to be in the best situation to give myself a chance to accomplish those things,” he said. [H/T: Fightful]
It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Strong. He might win the World Title someday.
