Paige hasn’t been seen since SummerSlam when she was attacked by The Bella Twins following their loss to Fatal Influence.
Paige was set to be part of SmackDown last week, but her promo was surprisingly cut and instead she stated on social media that she will be there in person this week.
Thanks for the submission!
Of course, this week is a huge week for the British star, since she turned 34 today. The former Women’s Tag Team Champion is expected to celebrate her birthday by making her return for the first time since SummerSlam.
Everyone at Sportskeeda offers her best wishes on her Birthday and the best of luck as she now looks to push forward against The Bella Twins following the recent attack.
Paige and Brie Bella are former Women’s Tag Team Champions
It was clear from the moment that the former Divas Champion made her return at WrestleMania that Nikki Bella would be coming for revenge.
Bella was upset that she was replaced by Paige even though she was injured and had no hope of competing with her sister. To make matters worse, Brie Bella and the British star won the titles at WrestleMania, which meant that Nikki wasn’t able to capture them with his sister.
The jealousy has consumed Nikki for months and after the title loss a few weeks ago, SummerSlam’s loss was too much for her to push past.
Brie Bella was injured at SummerSlam which left her sidelined which has meant that WWE can’t continue the current story with all four women. It’s unclear if they have had to cancel parts of it, or if Brie will be replaced.
Brie Bella suffered a shoulder injury in the same match that both sisters turned heel, but recently made it clear that she will be out of action with a broken scapula.
Her return to WWE SmackDown next week should answer a lot of questions since many fans believed that AJ Lee would be making her return to be part of the story, but if Brie Bella isn’t able to return then she may not be needed for the overall storyline.
