WWE: Major AEW star shares trustworthy emotions about Roman Reigns controversy

A major AEW star shared his honest feelings about some people believing that WWE star Roman Reigns was overrated. Reigns is the reigning World Heavyweight Champion on RAW.

Speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show, Adam Copeland (formerly known as Edge) was asked about working with Roman Reigns and whether he was overrated. Podcast host Conrad Thompson recently suggested that Reigns was overrated, and it turned into a controversy on social media. Copeland noted that he loved working with Reigns and that it was an easy day at the office whenever he had a match with him.

“I’ve worked him. Easy to work. Fun to work. Good to work. Loved my matches with him, and I think he found the voice of his character, and found something that he fully connected with. Overrated? That’s up to each individual person. You probably had people saying [Steve] Austin was overrated, or name it. Eh, eye of the beholder, right? But I know in working him, night off,” he said. Solo Sikoa was supposed to acknowledge Roman Reigns as his Tribal Chief and return to The Bloodline during last night’s episode of WWE RAW. However, Sikoa opted to hit Reigns with a Samoan Spike instead, and then fought off The Bloodline alongside LA Knight to close the show.

Former WWE manager discusses Roman Reigns’ popularity

Wrestling legend Dutch Mantell shared his thoughts on Roman Reigns’ popularity and whether he was overrated.

Speaking on the Story Time with Dutch Mantell podcast, the WWE legend responded to Conrad Thompson’s comments and stated that he used to think Reigns was overrated as well. However, his opinion changed once he started getting over with the crowd as a heel.

“That’s what I used to think too. I said, ‘How long are they going to push Roman before they realize that he’s not the answer?’ But the more he went, the more he got over a heel. And then he drew some money as a heel,” Mantell said.

It will be interesting to see how Reigns responds to Solo Sikoa’s attack in the weeks ahead on WWE RAW.
