Zilla Fatu Announcement: WWE Official Botches Huge Fact

A WWE official botched a huge fact after making a massive Zilla Fatu announcement. This can be seen as disrespectful by some sections of the fans.

NXT General Manager Robert Stone was lauded as he made the decision to add Zilla Fatu into the title match, which will also be his first match in the company. NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo will now put his World Championship on the line against Zilla Fatu, Grayson Waller and Cruz Montana at NXT Heatwave.

He later took to X, formerly Twitter, to write about his decision and it was there that he botched a huge fact. He wrote:

“GM’ing at @WWENXT means constantly thinking outside the box to make Tuesdays the best they can be. Which means sometimes, ya gotta make history. Sure, it’s happened in WCW. But in WWE, correct me if I’m wrong, @Zillafatu will be the first competitor ever to have their first match be for a top championship. #SetInStone”

The ending of the tweet is clearly wrong as Zilla will not be the first competitor ever to have his first match for a top title. That was Ethan Page as he took on Trick Williams for the NXT Title at the Battleground 2024 pay per view.

Zilla Fatu fires a warning shot at Tony D’Angelo

After being added to the NXT Title match earlier this week, Zilla Fatu did not waste time taking a shot at the current champion, Tony D’Angelo. After his segment and as he was walking back, Zilla looked into the camera and cut a promo in the only way he could. Addressing Tony D’Angelo, he said:

“Live and direct. The Main One is here and I am coming for that strap Mr. Tony. Wherever you are from, wherever you come from, I aint worry about none of that. The Main One is here. Hello!”

With Zilla being eager to impress in his debut match and that being a title match at that, it will be interesting to see if he will come out on top and impress all his peers.
