Pat Cummins’ Australia bounced back in stunning fashion as the second game of their two-match Test series against Bangladesh concluded on Day 2 (Sunday, August 23). The contest was played at the Great Barrier Reef Arena in Mackay, Australia.
Put into bat, Bangladesh were bowled out for 64 in 34 overs, with Mitchell Starc producing a brilliant spell of 6/12 in 10 overs. In response, Australia posted 210, with Cameron Green top-scoring with 67 off 105 balls, including 10 fours.
The visitors once again faltered in their second innings, getting bowled out for 95 in 38.3 overs, with Starc again emerging as the pick of the bowlers after claiming 4/39 in 10 overs. Australia won the game by an innings and 51 runs as the series ended 1-1.

#4 AUS vs BAN, 2026 (750 balls)
The fourth on the list is the recently concluded second Test of the 2026 series between Australia and Bangladesh in Mackay. The visitors were bowled out for a mere 64 in their first innings in 34 overs. The hosts responded with 210 in 52.3 overs, taking a 146-run lead.
In the second innings, Bangladesh once again struggled and were bowled out for 95 in 38.3 overs. Australia secured an innings-and-51-run victory as the game ended inside two days after just 750 balls.
#3 WI vs ENG, 1935 (672 balls)
Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados, hosted the first Test of the four-match series between West Indies and England in January 1935. Sent in to bat, West Indies were bowled out for just 102 in 47 overs, with Ken Farnes taking 4/40 in 15 overs for the visitors. England then declared their first innings at 81/7 after 29.3 overs.
In their second innings, West Indies declared at 51/6 after 19 overs, setting England a target of 73. The visitors sealed the game in the fourth innings, winning by four wickets after reaching the target in 16.3 overs, as the match ended after just 672 balls.
#2 AUS vs SA, 1932 (656 balls)
Australia and South Africa faced off at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in the fifth and final Test of the series in February 1932. Opting to bat, South Africa were bowled out for 36 in 23.2 overs, with Bert Ironmonger taking 5/6 in 7.2 overs. The hosts then responded with 153 in 54.3 overs.
In their second innings, the Proteas again struggled and were bowled out for 45 in 31.3 overs, losing by an innings and 72 runs as the match ended after just 656 balls.
#1 SA vs IND, 2024 (642 balls)
The second of the two Tests between South Africa and India was played at Newlands, Cape Town in January 2024. Opting to bat, South Africa were bowled out for 55 in 23.2 overs, with Mohammed Siraj starring with figures of 6/15 in nine overs. In response, India were dismissed for 153 in 34.5 overs.
In the second innings, Aiden Markram top-scored with 106 as South Africa posted 176 in 36.5 overs, with Jasprit Bumrah taking six wickets while conceding 61 runs. Chasing 79, India reached the target in 12 overs to win by seven wickets, as the game ended after just 642 balls.
