5 Reasons Roman Reigns is secretly behind Royce Keys’ new WWE faction

Roman Reigns wasn’t happy with WWE star Royce Keys sticking his nose into family business, but he may be working behind the scenes with his family’s enemy.

Keys led Bronco Nima and Lucien Price of OTM in an attack during the main event of RAW. The Usos fought LA Knight and Solo Sikoa to work out their issues, but the match was stopped after the shocking debut.

Keys, Nima, and Price easily took out all four men, battering them with powerbombs and shots from the steel steps. Jimmy Uso was put through the announce desk.

Jacob Fatu is part of the Bloodline, but The Usos ordered him to stay in the back during the contest. He did not come out to help his family.

While it’s likely that Keys was out for revenge and needed his own numbers, there could be a secret agenda. Reigns could be behind Keys’ new dangerous WWE faction for any of the next five reasons.

#5. The Usos have not been that successful since joining him

The Bloodline is a family, and some families fight all the time. The Usos are content with following Reigns’ orders; otherwise, they wouldn’t have agreed to align with him again this year.

The issue is that even with the group back together, only Roman has had success. He won the World Heavyweight Title from CM Punk and beat Jacob Fatu and Seth Rollins on his own.

Jimmy and Jey held tag team gold at one point but haven’t added gold to the new iteration of the Bloodline. The trio lost to Solo Sikoa, Keys, and LA Knight at WWE SummerSlam. Reigns could be tired of their failures, so he enlisted a group of mercenaries to take out his cousins.

#4. He’s tired of the in-fighting between the Usos and Jacob Fatu

As mentioned above, having Fatu in the Bloodline has led to nothing but tension with the Usos. The Samoan Werewolf is blindly loyal to Reigns and does whatever he says. This may clash with how Fatu feels, especially when it comes to Keys.

When Roman is away, and that’s every other week, the strong-willed stars routinely argue over what to do and who is in charge. Giving Jimmy and Jey captain status only made the Usos more power-hungry.

Jey already walked around as if he was in charge whenever Reigns was absent. Since it took forever to get Solo Sikoa back in the fold, Reigns could have found another way to deal with his cousins. He’s tired of the family drama and wants to replace them with Keys and his friends.

#3. Bringing Royce Keys into the mix distracts Solo Sikoa

Roman Reigns wants Solo Sikoa back in the Bloodline so he can be his lapdog. He doesn’t respect his young cousin, especially since he defeated him in Tribal Combat last year.

Sikoa stayed with his own group, but the MFTs fell apart over the last few months. As that happened, the Usos and Fatu tried to get Solo to return to the family.

His reluctance only increased the dangerous tactics Fatu used to achieve the objective. Keys was a side player and ally of Sikoa over the last several months.

He became a casualty after Reigns demanded Fatu end his threat to the Bloodline. Since Sikoa rejected the group yet again, The Tribal Chief could have enlisted one of Solo’s greatest friends to mess with his head.

Keys once fought against the Bloodline but got destroyed because of it. Reigns could have made a deal with Royce to play mind games with his younger cousin.

#2. Adding more allies to protect his hold over WWE

Reigns joined WWE’s main roster as part of a mercenary group for CM Punk and Paul Heyman. They did Punk’s bidding but broke away to forge their own paths. The Bloodline currently has four members, but could add more WWE stars at any time.

Zilla Fatu’s addition in NXT is a prime example. Since Solo knows how the numbers game works, Roman could be using his own group of mercenaries to change the game.

He doesn’t have a Wiseman this time around, so he could be trying something that worked in the past for Punk in WWE. Money in the Bank is around the corner, so Reigns may be adding more backup to fend off the winner.

#1. The necklaces were a misdirect after the Usos ran their own plays

The power dynamic while Reigns is away has been a driving point in the Bloodline. Jimmy and Jey are in charge when Roman doesn’t appear for WWE, but Fatu only takes direct orders from The Tribal Chief.

Roman always draws up the play and tells his cousins how to execute it. Repeated failures have led to drastic moments like Fatu destroying his one-time friend.

Even though the match that delivered Solo Sikoa to the Bloodline was Jey’s idea, Roman accepted the outcome. He gifted the Usos with black necklaces to symbolize their status as his captains.

That meant they were in charge when he was away from WWE. Having Keys and OTM attack Knight, Solo, Jimmy, and Jey could have been his punishment for overstepping their stations and failing on numerous occasions. The necklaces were a hollow gesture but also a misdirect for punishment.
