Anime Expeditions introduced the Fiery Staff as a unique piece of equipment that can only be used on Head Captain (Char). How to get
The Fiery Staff can be purchased from the Tidal Siege Shop for 10,000 Sand Dollars. Sand Dollars are the main currency of the Summer Siege Event, which you can earn by completing the Tidal Siege game mode.
The Tidal Siege mode includes two stages: the Event mode and the Portal mode. Of these, you can only get Sand Dollars from the Event mode, where you take on an infinite number of enemy waves. In the Portal mode, you get other rewards that are more in line with what you receive in a standard non-event-exclusive stage.
The higher the number of waves you clear in this mode, the better the rewards, meaning you earn more Sand Dollars as a result. Additionally, clearing the Tidal Siege-specific Quests is simpler in this stage, giving you extra Sand Dollars in the process.
You can access the Tidal Siege Shop using the “Event” button on the HUD while you are in the lobby. In the Event menu, swap to the Tidal Siege tab, and hit the “Shop” button to open the list of event-exclusive purchasable items. The Fiery Staff is close to the bottom of this list.
Note that the Fiery Staff is Unit Equipment, which means it cannot be used by any unit other than Head Captain (Char). Consider using your Sand Dollars to purchase it only if you own the unit already. Otherwise, your currency is best spent elsewhere.

Equipment abilities
As is the norm for equipment in this experience, the Fiery Staff has three passive slots, two of which are stats that can be rerolled. At the time of getting the Fiery Staff, the equipment will be randomly assigned a Damage and Range value.
You can reroll these stats using the Equipment Reroll item. If you wish to prevent the Reroll item from targeting one of these stats, you can use an Equipment Lock on it instead. Both of these resources are available in the game’s various shops as purchasable items.
The Damage stat ranges between 1% and 10%, while the Range stat has a value range between 1% and 5%. If you can land on the higher end of these stat ranges, the Fiery Staff can make a noticeable difference to the Head Captain’s battle performance.
For the third slot, the Fiery Staff replaces the Head Captain’s “South” passive ability. The following effects occur whenever a takedown is performed within this unit’s range:
- Transforms the enemy into an allied Skeleton (maximum five at a time).
Each Skeleton acts as a Path Trap, which applies the following effects when an enemy walks into it:
- When touched by an enemy, the trap deals 50% of the unit’s current damage.
- The trap explodes and applies the Burn status ailment to enemies within a three-stud range.
Lastly, for each Skeleton summoned, Head Captain (Char)’s damage will be increased by 5% for a maximum of 25% damage boost.
This passive is a direct upgrade over the unit’s regular passive, notably improving its combat prowess. Naturally, having the Fiery Staff to go with the Head Captain is a must.
