“Definitely not retired” – Former WWE champion calls out current studies

A former WWE champion called out reports claiming that she had retired. The star in question has not competed in a match in over three years and exited WWE in 2025.

Earlier today, reports claimed that Carmella had retired from in-ring action. The reports stemmed from the veteran’s quote on a podcast, in which she said she was retired. The Princess of Staten Island took to social media to react to the quote going viral and said she had no idea where it came from. Carmella stated that she was not retired and was in the best shape of her life.

“You guys…. My foot is healed. And I’m in the best shape of my life….. definitely not retired 🤑,” she wrote.

Carmella has not competed in a match on WWE TV since her loss to Bianca Belair on the March 6, 2023, episode of RAW. Belair has been out of action since WrestleMania 41 with a hand injury. The EST is married to Montez Ford of The Street Profits, and the happy couple welcomed a child to their family last month.

Former WWE star Carmella recalls incident that led to her having cosmetic surgery

Carmella recently discussed her cosmetic surgery and described an incident in her youth that led to it.

Speaking on her Hot Mom Sh*t podcast, she shared that her acting coach made fun of the bags under her eyes when she was 16. The veteran stated that she was devastated in the moment, and it contributed to her insecurities.

“Anyway, I am in acting class. We’re all going around the room doing our thing. And the acting coach, quote unquote, looks at me and says, ‘Holy eye bags, Batman.’ First of all, I never watch Batman. I don’t even know what that means. Is that a quote from Batman? I had no idea what she was even saying. And second of all, I’m a 16-year-old girl. Why are you saying that to me in front of the entire room? I was mortified. I was so embarrassed,” she said.

The inaugural Women’s Money in the Bank winner is married to WWE RAW announcer Corey Graves in real life. It will be interesting to see if she decides to return to the ring anytime soon.
