A wardrobe malfunction during Carlos Alcaraz’s match in the first round of the US Open sparked viral attention online. Tennis icons, including former Canadian tennis professional Eugenie Bouchard, dropped a tweet on her X handle, asking the Spaniard to fix the situation.
The World No. 3 sported a brown Nike muscle tank top that often shifted with his movement and often showed off his chest and nipples at times. While many fans loved it, Bouchard had a different take.

“Love you, Carlos, but we’ve got to put the nip away 🤭,” Eugenie Bouchard wrote on her X handle on September 1.
Following the massive exposure, the 23-year-old tweaked his Nike kit by adding a white tank top with narrower armholes and a higher neckline to prevent any nipple exposure. The 2014 Wimbledon finalist, again posted on her X handle, appreciated Carlos‘ move with a two-word reaction.

Carlos Alcaraz defeated hard-hitting Wu Yibing in 6-3, 6-4, 6-1 straight sets on Friday and joined the 2x defending champion Aryna Sabalenka in the Round of 16 of the US Open.
“I played aggressively. I played smart in the toughest moments. I think my level is really good. I’ve got into the rhythm of the competition. I’m getting there,” Alcaraz said during a post-game interview.
Alcaraz will next face 20th seed Tommy Paul of the United States on the hard courts of Flushing Meadows.

In a recent phone interview, the 32-year-old revealed that, as one of the forefront of the “new wave” broadcasters, she wants to ensure that tennis is more accessible and popular to the people than ever before.
“Being a part of this kind of new wave has been exciting, and I just hope we can make tennis fun and young — and just keep it and make it as popular as ever basically,” Bouchard told The Post.
The former Canadian tennis icon has quickly made her name in the sports broadcasting space. This year, she has made her appearance on TNT during the French Open. Currently, she is working as a sports analyst on the ESPN desk for the 2026 US Open.
