NEW: Trump Trolls Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, Calls Him Governor – “Get Up Governor” * The Gateway Pundit * by Jordan Conradson

President Trump and Canada’s Prime Minister Mark Carney

President Trump on Sunday trolled Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, calling him “Governor” in a new cartoon meme.

The image shows Trump and Carney on hockey skates, with Trump towering over the fallen Canadian Prime Minister, saying, “Get up, governor.”

Trump has long suggested that he will make Canada the 51st state if they can’t afford to pay the United States’ tariffs.

It would appear he is only joking and attempting to strongman Canada’s leadership. However, during an April interview with Time Magazine, Trump said he’s “really not trolling” about making Canada the 51st state and acquiring Greenland as a US territory.

“We don’t need anything from Canada. And I say the only way this thing really works is for Canada to become a state,” he told Time.

Additionally, during a meeting with Carney in the Oval Office last October, Trump interrupted Carney to suggest a “merger of Canada and the United States.”

This follows Trump’s official renaming of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America and, more recently, Lake Ontario being renamed as Lake America.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Trump signed an executive order last month changing the name of the formerly known Lake Ontario.

“They want to be treated like a state. But they’re not a state,” Trump told reporters, blasting Canada over the ongoing trade war.

“We lose on average over the last 15 years, $60 billion a year carrying Canada. So we just can’t do it anymore.”

“The United States has invested nearly $4 billion in protecting the Great Lakes freshwater ecosystem in the last decade, while Canada has invested far less in similar initiatives over the same period,” the executive order notes.
