Danhausen expresses curiosity in non-WWE look

WWE star Danhausen recently spoke about wanting to appear in a program other than the Stamford-based promotion.

Danhausen is one of the most entertaining stars signed to WWE, often appearing in comedic segments and matches. He had a stint in AEW before jumping ship the Triple H’s roster, making his first appearance in the Stamford-based promotion at Elimination Chamber this year. Since then, he has had several segments in programming and some matches.

Speaking in an interview with BANG Showbiz, Danhausen noted that he would love to appear on The Simpsons. He also stated that an appearance on the ‘Treehouse of Horror’ episode would also be amazing.

“Oh, yes, that’s a dream come true. So we’ve got to make that dream come true, Danhausen. Even if you want to put Danhausen in a Treehouse of Horror as a guest star, that would be great. Let’s get it in there. Let’s put it out in the universe.”

Jim Ross believes Danhausen is better off in WWE than AEW

According to Jim Ross, Tony Khan was not able to utilise Danhausen in AEW as much as Triple H can in the Stamford-based promotion.

Speaking on the Grilling JR podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer explained the differences between the two rival promotions. He said:

“Good for him. He’s a young guy. And if he was ever going to have a legit chance to become a star, this is it. Yeah, absolutely. I’m sure now he wishes he had moved on that persona. He did, but he didn’t. And now it’s just too late. I think Tony’s probably more about the wrestling and I think WWE’s more about the revenue. That’s an interesting analogy. Can’t say as I disagree with it,” said JR.

Danhausen does appear to focus more on character work and spectacle than in-ring ability. Since his arrival in the Stamford-based promotion, he has treated fans to a number of comedic moments in his appearances. It remains to be seen what is next for him down the line.
