Popular WWE Superstar wasn’t initially booked for WrestleMania 42

A popular WWE superstar wasn’t originally booked to be a part of WrestleMania 42. The Show of Shows emanated from Las Vegas for a second year running and saw two nights packed with action.

While the match card for both nights was stacked, there were also some interesting segments. On night two of the show, host John Cena was interrupted by The Miz and Kit Wilson, and the duo demanded their WrestleMania moment.

This led to Danhausen making his way to the ring along with several Minihausens. The segment turned into a comedic highlight, with Danhausen hitting The Miz with a low blow and following it up with a hit a Five Knuckle Shuffle.

Recently, speaking on the No-Contest Wrestling podcast, the face-painted star talked about his incredible debut year in WWE. He mentioned how he has pushed the limits of what he can do on TV. He said his character work forced the company to include him in their WrestleMania 42 plans.

“I think it is to push the limits of what will work and what more we can do because originally Danhausen, I don’t think, was supposed to be a part of WrestleMania, but then it was undeniable that he must be added, and then they said, ‘Guess what? John Cena.’ ‘Oh, great. Sounds perfect,’” he said.

The Very Nice, Very Evil star has soared to popularity after arriving in the Stamford-based promotion at Elimination Chamber earlier this year.

Danhausen wants a major appearance outside WWE

Danhausen’s popularity has seen him cross over into mainstream media. He was the talking point during the New York Knicks’ run to the NBA Championship this year, after he cursed and then uncursed the team.

Since then, he has continued to be a big part of pop culture, and he wants to make the most of the opportunity he has right now.

In an interview on BANG Showbiz, Danhausen said he would love to appear on the animated American sitcom The Simpsons.

The show has seen several celebrities make cameo appearances over the years, and the WWE superstar also wants in. He said that a guest appearance in a Treehouse of Horror episode would be great.
