To fly an airplane can be a dangerous proposition.
Shocking footage that’s gone viral shows a small plane crashing nose-first into a field in rural Argentina.
The crash took place in the town of Perdices, in the department of Gualeguaychú.
Despite the crash destroying the airplane, the pilot somehow managed to be pulled out alive from the wreckage.
New York Post reported:
“The crop-spraying aircraft was filmed gliding in the air for a few seconds Thursday before it smashed into a field in Perdices.
The viral video shows the plane then falling apart as it slides across the ground. Volunteer firefighters raced from Ceibas, about 22 miles away, and somehow found the pilot alive.”
The pilot, who lives in the Buenos Aires area, was the only person injured. The apparent mechanical fault remains under investigation.

“As a result of the strong impact, the pilot of the aircraft had to be rescued and rushed to the Centenario Hospital, where he remains admitted to the intensive care unit.
According to medical reports, the patient is stable, assisted by a mild pulmonary contusion and other minor injuries.
The road-air accident occurred at kilometer 25 of Highway 14, in a property that is accessed by a neighborhood road. After the crash, neighbors of the sector immediately approached to help the man, while personnel from the Ceibas Volunteer Fire Department and members of the Entre Ríos Police deployed an emergency operation at the scene to secure the area and assist the victim.”
