CORE Boys member and Twitch streamer Jasontheween met Olajide “KSI” at an EA event ahead of the FC27 release, and the two discussed the Sidemen, specifically Olajide’s current friendship with them since he left on May 31, 2026. FC27’s early access drops on September 18, 2026, and the full game will be available for PC and console on September 24 and September 25, respectively.
At the EAFC 27 World Premiere launch event, which took place in New York City on September 15, 2026, KSI went live on his YouTube channel and met Jasontheween after the latter walked into the former’s stream frame. Jason created a sort of intentional awkward tension between the two, and in an attempt to cut it, Olajide asked:
“How’s CORE?”
Jasontheween responded, asking a question:
“How’s CORE? Great, bro. How’s the Sidem- Oh, wait (Laughs).”
KSI smirked as Jason laughed, not maintaining eye contact. Then the question of friendship was brought up after Olajide said:
“I mean, you probably know more about them than I do (Laughs). (‘No. What? What? Y’all are still friends, bro,’ said Jason.) Some of us. (‘What?.. No. You for real? Tell me you’re trolling.’).”
Without answering directly, Olajide said:
“We’re not going into specifics.”
“I was moving mad”: KSI reflects on his June 2026 interview with Viddal Riley
In early June 2026, KSI went on his former boxing trainer Viddal Riley’s podcast and spoke about his aspirations in content creation after leaving the Sidemen:
“I’m trying to compete with MrBeast. He gets about 4 billion [views] every month in Shorts, and about 600 million in long-form. I mentioned to the Sidemen boys that I’m gonna get more subscribers than Sidemen, and I’m also gonna get more views. I’ve got more views than Sidemen in a month, so now I need to get more subscribers. And then it’s like… I’m looking at Speed now. I need to try and get more views than Speed… and then, after Speed, who’s next? Until I get to [MrBeast].”
In the recent EA FC27 event, he reflected on his time with Viddal Riley, suggesting that his motivation to keep breaking subscriber and viewer milestones was “not him”:
“The old me would say, ‘Oh, I care about views and subs and all of that.’ I don’t care about that anymore, bro. I just want to have a good life. I just want to have fun. I don’t know; I was moving mad with that Viddal interview. I was moving mad. That is not me. I don’t know who that guy was. I look at that interview, and I’m like, ‘Yo, that guy is cringe!’ (Sarcastically) ‘I’m gonna be bigger than MrBeast!’ Like, bro, I’m just gonna be KSI. That’s more than enough. I don’t need to be trying to be bigger than MrBeast… who cares, man? I’m just gonna be me.”
In other news, KSI revealed he had been making his YouTube videos at a “loss.”
