The Buffalo Bills and Detroit Lions are set to battle in a contest that could be one of the top shootouts of the week in the NFL. As such, managers fortunate enough to have a central piece on either team will have reason to feel enthusiastic heading into the weekend. However, even in a shootout like the one on deck, there will be wrong players to start.
Here’s a look at who you can trust and who you can’t, including endorsements for Josh Allen and Dalton Kincaid and warnings about Tyler Conklin and Isaac TeSlaa.
Thanks for the submission!

Josh Allen
Josh Allen showed that he might once again be a league winner in 2026 after an explosive Week 1. As such, let it ride with the star quarterback once again.

DJ Moore
DJ Moore gave managers reason for doubt based on his production in Chicago, but the wide receiver erased them in Week 1. If you were on the fence last week, you should start him without a second thought this week.
Dalton Kincaid
Dalton Kincaid exploded last week with 130 yards. Expect a similar showing again. The tight end has proven to be a key pillar of the offense, and until he shows different, keep starting him.

Jahmyr Gibbs
Jahmyr Gibbs is a set-and-forget running back once again this year. As the beating heart of the team’s offense, Gibbs should be your RB1 in 100% of cases.
Amon-Ra St. Brown
Amon-Ra St. Brown is likely to be a WR1 option this week, but wherever you use him, it should not be as a bench-warmer. In other words, trust the receiver as much as anyone.
Jameson Williams
Jameson Williams didn’t explode in Week 1, but managers should still give him another shot before panicking in many cases. Williams has multiple 1,000-yard seasons in his career, which means his next great game is just around the corner.

Keon Coleman
Keon Coleman managed just one yard against the Texans in Week 1. Expect a similar showing again from the receiver. He should be closer to the bottom of your bench than starting.
Dawson Knox
While Dalton Kincaid saw the spotlight, Dawson Knox was almost irrelevant in fantasy football. Expect the pattern to continue.
Ray Davis
Ray Davis’ presence was hardly noticeable last week behind James Cook III. Expect it to be another similar showing.

Isaac TeSlaa
Isaac TeSlaa is still looking for his first catch this season, which means he should be nowhere near starting in your lineup. There will be better options on the waiver wire until he can prove himself more effective in the Lions’ offense.
Brock Wright
Sam LaPorta is the only tight end that managers should rely on heading into the contest. Brock Wright will only become a solid option if anything happens to LaPorta. LaPorta is not listed with any injuries on the official Lions injury report, so Wright is likely not to be much of a factor against Buffalo.
Tyler Conklin
Tyler Conklin has been relevant in fantasy football before in his career, but in 2026, he is a name to avoid. Conklin earned just 101 receiving yards in 2025, signalling a non-Fantasy Football role with the Lions.
