NBA fans lost it on social media after Anthony Edwards took a dig at Jalen Brunson‘s father.
The Minnesota Timberwolves star is preparing for the release of the AE3 on Friday. Ahead of the much-awaited launch of Edwards’ third signature shoe with Adidas, the marketing department rolled out a series of promotional videos. The four-time All-Star took shots at several NBA stars.

In one of the promotional videos, the sneaker company staged a stand-up comedy routine featuring Edwards, who delivered a punchline directed at New York Knicks assistant coach Rick Brunson.

“It’s simple y’all,” he said. “The cage is open and the dog is unleashed. Look at this shoe. The Anthony Edwards 3. We ain’t playing fair this year.”
“If you on the court against me, anybody could get it. Even your daddy. I don’t care if he’s your assistant coach.”

Anthony Edwards Trolled Jaylen Brown in the Adidas Ad
There were several players who became Anthony Edwards’ target in the new Adidas promotional video. One of those players was Jaylen Brown. The Timberwolves star made jokes about Brown’s hairline problems, which he said would also be a problem for his Philadelphia 76ers co-star, LeBron James.
“Between [LeBron] and ol’ boy from Boston [Brown], they gonna have a whole lot of enhancements going on in the locker room,” Edwards said. “I’m just playing, y’all.”
Brown captured social media attention last season following an incident where his head brushed against Washington Wizards forward Kyshawn George, leaving a black mark that was quickly spotted by fans.
The former Boston Celtics star hilariously played it cool and claimed that the clip was made by artificial intelligence.
“AI is getting outta hand,” he posted on X.
Anthony Edwards made sure to comment on Brown’s hairline issue now that he’s teammates with James.
