Jake Hager was facing Johnny Magna at Power Slap, where a slap he took was so disturbing that Dana White opted not to show a replay, with him even calling it the worst injury he had ever seen. He went on to say that he would help Hager get medical attention. The slap left the former WWE star bleeding from his eye and face.

Jake Hager’s wife thanked everyone for coming together for her husband after his injury. She said that he had gone through emergency surgery and was recovering. She went on to show her gratitude to the community for all they have said.

While Hager is far from the least controversial person in the company, with the injury, everyone has shown him support. Even so, Hager appears to have found himself in some trouble. Even with his injury, directly after the Power Slap competition, Hager almost ended up in a confrontation with a college basketball team. In the end, it didn’t happen, and since then, Hager has gone on to have surgery, from which he is currently recovering.
