Aleister Black recently paid tribute to Andy Williams, who recently passed away. The former WWE star broke down in tears while talking about the impact Andy had on his life.
Andy Williams passed away earlier this month at the age of 48. The entire world of professional wrestling stepped up to pay tribute to the veteran pro-wrestler. Williams had a major role in the lives of many professional wrestlers like Daniel Garcia. AEW also dedicated last week’s Collision to give an homage to him.
Aleister Black shared an emotional message on Williams’ demise. The former NXT Champion appeared on ZELVX and CHARLIE GIRL to give a speech on Andy. Black said that he will try to become a person like Andy Williams. The 41-year-old highlighted the positive influence of Williams in his life, revealing his caring and supportive nature toward everybody in the world. Black got very emotional while talking about his friend, and he even broke down in tears during the podcast.
“I have never been a person who is really good at being a human being. But Andy Williams was fantastic at being a human being. And I will do my absolute best to be more like you every single day for as long as I’m still here. And I hope that the effect that Andy’s passing will have is a similar effect on everybody who’s known Andy. Because Andy deserves that. He was the first guy to cheer you on and the last guy to ever leave, just to make sure that you’re not by yourself. I love you, Andy,” said Black.

Aleister Black fires on WWE following his release
Aleister Black was controversially released by WWE in April this year. It was just one year after his return to the company. Therefore, fans were upset with how WWE handled things with the former NXT Champion. Recently, even Black fired some shots at the Stamford-based promotion for his booking.
In the same appearance on ZELVX and CHARLIE GIRL, Alesiter said that he was given a lackluster year despite being promised a major booking. The former AEW star said that WWE told him that they had bigger plans for his character in the company. However, all those conversations never made it to the actual programming. Black was frustrated with WWE and their actions towards him.
“I can pretend that it didn’t suck, but of course it sucks. It always s*cks. In my case, it s*cked harder because of the mountains of things that were promised in all the other conversations, and then being presented with this f*cking dud of a year. Despite main events and all these things, it was just wasn’t anything that they said they wanted to do. To me, it was like, why did you guys even want this? Because this made no f*cking sense,” said Black. [H/T: Fightful]
With that said, it will be interesting to see what is next for Aleister Black in professional wrestling. Many fans want him to join AEW for another run with the company in the coming months.
