A top AEW star called out Chris Jericho after ambushing him a few days ago. Former ROH World Television Champion Nick Wayne isn’t holding back against the Le Champion. The two stars crossed paths at All In. During the Casino Gauntlet match, both stars locked horns and, as a result, couldn’t win the match. Things turned worse when Nick hit the veteran with a low blow at post-All In Dynamite. Later, Jericho also took revenge by decimating him.
The former AEW World Champion locked horns with the Prodigy on the recent edition of Dynamite. The Demo God won the match. Despite winning, Wayne walked out with the upper hand, as after the match Nick was upset when the veteran extended a hand as a sign of respect.
Tonight on Collision, Nick Wayne said that he attacked Chris Jericho because the latter tried to portray the Prodigy as a rookie.
“Nick Wayne almost beat Chris Jericho. Of course, it pi**es me off that I lost the match. But what really pi**ed me off was after the match. You tried to shake my hand like I’m some kind of rookie? Like I don’t know what this is all about? You would shake my hand, raise my arm, and make it all seem like this was some kind of big honour for me to be in the ring with Chris Jericho. But I see right through you, Chris. And you didn’t teach me a damn thing. In fact, I think I taught you a thing or two when I left you lying in the ring after the match. So, here is something to think about, Chris. Maybe it’s you that doesn’t know what you don’t know,” he said.
It seems like the two could have another match very soon.
